Cape Disappointment 2006

The lighthouse seen from the beach at the campground, Cape Disappointment State Park.

Went for walk early one morning with Charissa and the tide was way out. I found these beautiful "canyons" created by the water.

Here, Charissa is admiring another really neat canyon created by the water as the tide went out.

James and Killick are enjoying the water and sun as well.

Nicho and Joe are enjoying their morning cup of Ovaltine.
(Kid coffee they like to call it.)

Here is the gang of kids that were frollicking about the campground this week.
Nicholas, Xenia Miller, Charissa, Kelsey, Brendan Fallin and Joseph.
Patrick refused to join them.

Charissa and Joseph (below) found that the black sand painted on wet legs quite nicely.
He's so proud of his feather collection.

This is how he painted his legs.

Joseph and his castle.

Nicholas decided he would tie the bike trailer to his tricycle and pull Joseph around. This was great entertainment all week. Most of the time it was empty, but all the little boys LOVED to pull this around.

Nicholas loved! the sand. Here he is playing with the "ship" he found on the beach. Yes, it is in the backyard now.
Below you'll see him the first time he set foot on the beach. He was SO giddy with excitement he couldn't stop jumping and leaping and rolling in the sand.
